    Hi,

I tried to enable DLA but now getting the following error:

    I followed the following steps:

    Module 09 - Central Electrics

    1. Connect OBD Eleven to your car.
    2. Turn the ignition on, not the engine! These changes won't apply if the engine is on. I've tried it.
    3. Go to central electrics module 09.
    4. Select adaptions from the list.
    5. Find "Fernlicht_Assistent" and go into that menu.
    6. Change "Erweiterte Fernlichtsteuerung" to AFS FLA Fernlicht (GLW:MDF).
    7. Change "Menusteuerung Fernlichtassistent" to present.
    8. Change "Menusteuerung Fernlichtassistent Worksteinstellung" to present.

    Module A5 - Front Sensor

    1. Got to module A5 - Front Sensor.
    2. From the list select "long coding".
    3. Find byte 19 - Bit 0-3 Value 00
    4. Find byte 19 - Bit 4-7 Value 30
    5. Find byte 21. Change it to hex value 40.

    Module 4B - Multifunction Module

    1. Go to module 4B.
    2. In the list, select long coding.
    3. Go to byte 9. Change the hex value to 10.
    4. Go into byte 10. Tap the checkbox on bit 6 to enable it. Make sure bit 5 is unticked.
    5. Go to byte 11. Tap the checkbox on bit 2 to enable it.

I can see only "Dynamic Light Assist" in the radio light settings; "Dynamic Cornering" no longer exists. Is this how its supposed to be?

    Please help.

You have only done half of it Look in the Tiguan MK2 forum for full instructions

The full and correct instructions were only 2 posts above your moved one and it definitely works

Has your vehicle got the correct headlights to do it

Yes, it does, it has LED headlamps for both low & high beams, with dynamic cornering as stock.

I may be dumb here but I've done the coding for module 09, A5 & 4B as in the Tiguan post.

Please let me know what I'm missing.

I checked the coding again and its exactly as per the "Tiguan" post. However, I went back to module 4B, byte-9 and changed it back to 00 (Headlight type: Variant-1). With this setting, I can see "Dynamic light assist" and "Adaptive Front Lighting System" I need to get "Dynamic Cornering System" instead of "AFS"

I guess because mine is a Passat, the module settings may be different.

With the new settings, the previous two errors have gone and a new error has come:

Any thoughts? How can I get "Dynamic Cornering" instead of "AFS" in the radio lights menu?

          Wow.. nobody?

I would also like to know how to perform the basic settings using VCDS. The instructions are for OBDII.

This is exactly what I'd like to know. Do we simply go to the control module (4B) and click on basic settings and click Go? Or do we have to select something in the adaptations?

I dont know what you do in VCDS I did it perfectly with an OBDII by following Phonebooths explicit and correct instructions

Read the post in the TIGUAN forum and follow it exactly there are about 3 paragraphs after 4B instructions DO what it says it works

                  Hi,

I have coded the modules correctly.

                  1. I can see Dynamic Light Assist and Adaptive Front Lighting system in the radio, lights menu - is this correct?
                  2. Changing the stalk to high beam shows the blue high beam icon but not the icon with "A"
                  3. My basic setting window is as shown below, with the menu. Which should I select? I did select Headlight Adjustment Start 1 and clicked go but nothing happened, hence my doubt on the basic setting.

Please find the screenshot as below.

Push it further then as you have to push it past the highbeam setting

I have NO IDEA about VCDS disnt see the pint in paying $450 for something that a $130 unit does far easier

Where is the RADIO LIGHTS menu

There is no where to push further, this is what I get when I push "go"

Oh so the menu is in the MMI Radios went out last century

                        Its in MMI/settings /Vehicle/Lights

Yours lacks Dynamic cornering in the menu

                        Lights menu

Push your headlight stalk further forward and you should get a blue light with an A superimposed over it

                          Hi Hillbilly,

Yay! It worked. The errors seemed to be due to a different issue. I was doing the coding last night and I ended up getting a battery low warning. I decided to go for a drive today evening and there was a warning in the cluster. I drove about 25 kms and suddenly noticed the warning disappeared! I then pulled the stalk and got the light assist icon in the cluster (headlight symbol with A superimposed in white colour. When driving in a dark or minimally illuminated roads, this turns blue. Both the low & high beams seems to move accordingly.

The MMI/settings /Vehicle/Lights shows Dynamic Light Assist and Adaptive Front Lighting System though.

One point to note: I had set module 4B, Byte 9, Bit 4-7 as 00 Head Light Type: Variant 1

The Adaptive front lighting System disappears from the mmi/lights menu if I set it to 10 Head Light Type: Variant 2

                          Not sure why.

When your car turns on with the lights on AUTO they should dance like this

You need to do headlight adjustment Start 1
                              and then
                              Headlight adjustment 2 stop
