Blind Spot Monitor Issue

So driving down the freeway this morning and this message pops up on the dash:

"Side Assist and Rear Traffic Alert not avail. No sensor view"

Get to work and park the car and remind myself to give VW a call to arrange a look.
Forget to call VW as i'm busy. Get in car to go home and down the freeway again. BSM is working until the message pops up again.

Anyone seen this before? Car has only done about 11k km. Guess I will be calling VW tomorrow.

Happened to me twice, I simply pulled on the side, turned of my engine and restarted it. After that it was working again.
