Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Luggage/cargo net

I'm trying to source a decent quality luggage/cargo net for the back floor of my Alltrack.

Has anyone found one that is a decent quality and good fit (the right size)? If so, would you mind passing on the info of where you purchased from?

    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers

Standard on the 206 only from what I can gather. Might have to call spares and see what they can wrangle for me. It doesn't appear in the accessories cattle dog.

Damn, hate dealing with the muppets in spares...

Ordered. The muppet in spares was a little more helpful this time.
$110. Will provide the part number when the item arrives.
I use the accessory tray - stuff slides around on it like a dog on wet lino.
            Cheers

The VW Part No: 3C9065110 (Passat Variant 2006 onwards) (it should come in a clear plastic cylinder/packaging)
$110 seems a bit steep, maybe you should stop calling them muppets and they would do you a better price!!!

Here is a link to give you some additional info; Volkswagen Passat Wagon Cargo Net. Cargo, net, transport, strap, trunk. Protection, Comfort - 3C9065110 - Genuine Volkswagen Accessory

Standard on mine too. (140TDI Highline with R-Line and Luxury packs)

Not that I ever use it.

If you used the plastic cargo liner, you'd use it

Meh, can't really complain about the price. Aus prices rarely compare favourably with O/S prices

That's why I have a rubber liner and not a plastic one!

I had a luggage net thrown in with my Passat All Track but had to ask for it. I thought it was standard but turns out I wasn't getting it unless I asked. I use it all the time and it's great.

Stop it. I hate making bad choices! You and your damn not slippery rubber mats
Although, now with our dogs getting older and not going in the car as much, I might take the tray out when I don’t need it.
                        Cheers

Standard on my 206, and works well with the plastic "tub" as they call it.

Should have updated earlier, sorry. The net arrived in its little plastic tube. Been very handy in the week and a bit since getting it. I haven’t used the car a lot - mainly been on my bike the last week - but the net has certainly proven useful.

Just another interesting case of VW specs often being ever so slightly different between models I reckon
