Electric mirrors only working in one direction B6

Hi weird issue with both my Lhs and rhs mirror they only adjust to the right now from the control on the drivers door not up down or to the left and now the drivers one is stuck all the way to the right. Nothing happens at all when I try the other directions.

Most likely the switch? Last time I used it the mirror heating still worked.

Have VCDS? If so any faults?
You can get a replacement switch very cheaply online to rule that out.

No don't have it the other weird thing is that occasionally I am get the parking brake warning light but the parking brake is working fine? Thanks for the reply any tips on where to order the switch from?

Replace the park brake switch. Easy 5 min job:

Park brake switch: pop off end of dash panel to reveal the fuse box.
Switch is held in with top and bottom metal spring clips. So just push the switch from behind the dash to pop out, then unplug connector. Install new one.

Yeah you can get them from Repco or supercheap, or just order online as well if you want to save a few bucks given you'll have to wait for the switches anyway.

got the swtiches from ebay also got the the main electric window and other doors switches as well. Just need to pick up the trim removal set from Supercheap and will report back once installed. Switches look good quality and have VW / Audi logo on the back came from China.

Got some trim removal tools from supacheeep 5 mins work popped the cover off and then saw that the plug had come loose from the mirror switch plugged back in and voila both mirrors now working... Wonder how much VW would have charged to fix lol
