Ok guys i have 08 passat wagon running stage 1 i have changed exhaust running the stock dump pipe i have now got 3 inch wirh a 100 cell but my engine light comes on. Is there anyway to stop this?
I think you can get an O2 sensor which fakes the reading. The warning light won't go away because your O2 sensor is not reading what it should due to your high flow cat/s. So you'll need to change something either the sensor or the tune to make the car happy. I also would have thought if you had APR do a tune they could probably disable/change the warning in tune, have you spoken to them about it?
As a side note, did you notice a difference with the tune? Is this a 3.6L?
An o2 spacer will do the job in the short term (cost around $30 and ebay is where you find them) or for a permanent solution, go to your local APR dealer and pay a few hundred to have the tune updated to cater for the high flow dump pipe.
