  • R36 downpipe PN?

I'm looking for the PN of the downpipe for the R36. I'm looking to replace the one in my 3.6 CC which has 4 cats versus 2 on the R36 which is a direct swap. Problem is I don't know the PN. Would anyone happen to know?

        Is that RHD or LHD?

Hopefully I can find one used...

Could you not just have an exhaust shop remove two cats from your existing one? I cannot imagine that down pipe is anything but extremely expensive.

Here's one on ebay from a R36. Looks like its still got 4 cats in it to me (assuming the image is correct): Volkswagen Passat R36 2008 Exhaust Pipe With Catalyst 3C0254506CX | eBay

And here are some other pics from a Russian (?) website: Katalyzátor : prodám novou 4katalyzátorovou sestavu na - Sbazar.cz

                Rear two are mufflers.

Yes i know, but there are 2x cats right up the top and then another 2x cats further along, then 2x resonators/mufflers at the back,

I think the picture is wrong. The R36 has two. See here (Although technically the catless ones here are from an R32 the OP also mentions the R36 is the same setup.)

The R32 and R36 PN are different. If they are the same spec and diameter piping then I'll snag a R32 then. I'm just doing my homework.

They're not the same spec and diameter piping, the thread I found that picture on has a dude with a regular B6 Passat not an R36, he modifies some R32 down pipes to fit his existing exhaust to mimic the R36 one. However, I am pretty confident the R36 only has two cats. Just showing to give you an idea of what both R exhaust setups should look like.
