a set of the ATE Pads for the front were $190 retail not trade.i doubt you will find another retail outlet in Brisbane.i looked and the place i used was the only one that would sell to the public.he also said that he was the only one in brissy. so take that as you will. as Umai Naa!!
said:"HSY Autoparts, but they usually only wholesale to trade customers".if you know a mechanic they can probably order them direct from HSY for you.
good luck you wont be sorry.
      cheers

I bought blew from GSL RallySport eBay Store last year (June 2014). Not that I need new disc anytime soon, it was eBay had a big discount and I took the chance to stock up. Below are the list price back then with free shipping. I think the price now is up a bit.
Front: DBA 4000 Series T3 Slotted Brake Rotor Suit Front VW Volkswagen Passat 3.6L R36 $219.45 AUD 2 $438.90 AUD
Rear: DBA2809S - DBA Street Series T2 Slotted Brake Rotor $109.73 AUD 2 $219.46 AUD

Hi eurobahn, what's your quote on the ATE pads for MY 2010 R36 wagon, front and rear? Thanks.

oh, OK, I can see LD7200 from ATE web catalog, but not LD2880. They are all Ceramic Pads right?

Passat R36: Ideally you need to know your PR number. It will be on your build plate either in the rear of the vehicle or the front cover of the service book. Something like 1KU, 1KW, 2EA, 2EL, etc

I agree that number doesn't look right but if eurobahn has fitted them... Stranger things have happened.

                      note from ATE:
Technically it is possible to combine ATE Ceramic brake pads
with the PowerDisc or with perforated brake discs. The brak
ing power with such a pairing is the same as with an origina
l ATE brake pad or OE brake pad. However, when the two compo
nents interact they can generate more noise in braking. ATE
Ceramic brake pads were developed for comfort-oriented drive
rs. We therefore recommend using them with normal brake disc
                      s, i.e. smooth ones.

Yeah, I see what you mean, they're probably be the same pad, part numbers get changed, superseded and updated all the time (to keep us on our toes!), have a look where it says Trade numbers: LD2887, and the '23914' appears on your listing and mine as well. Maybe I need to update my TECDOC software too ! I got mine supplied as LD2880 and went straight in. Who knows ? I can check with my supplier.

Interesting how ATE say 'it is recommended to use with smooth discs'. I didn't know that !...oh well I have them paired with drilled Zimmermans. Although I havn't noticed any noise or under-performance, definitely less brake dust. I think when I'm up for new pads I will try Hawk HPS with front wear sensor delete. Heard pretty good things about them, maybe some different rotors too. You can check out this video with the ATE ceramics in the R36 at eastern creek..

I also run DBA slotted T3 front and T2 rears with Remsa pads all around as they were all worn. The rotors are a little noisier but not loud, the pads are horrible on brake dust and ill be changing them when i can. I do find that in the morning when i get to the end of my street the ABS kicks in (Im talking 300m from my driveway going from 70 - 0). Otherwise i have never had any fade or issues stopping with them so they perform well.
