What to do after blowning a rear differential R36.
i think mine may have play, i notice some noise from the rear? i dont know whether i should put additive into it or not. ringing dealer tomorrow to get checked as only had car 2 weeks and has 104k on clock.
It's the electronically-controlled viscous coupling on the front of the rear diff. Needs to have it's oil changed every 60K on <2010 models, or every 3 years on 2010> models.
got to volkspower today and there is no drive to the rear end, so i have booked into vw to have properly checked (under warranty) not really happy about this

might be just a fuse.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
Cheers I will have a look. They said there was a little drive and a little noise. But when the rear should kick in there was the diff noise. I will still check fuse tho
Could also be the pump mate. There is a couple on here that have had pump issues just recently. Make sure you ask them to check that out too because the have the pump serviced is not a massive cost.
