These appear to have only 2 x LEDs each vs 8 x LEDs from the set Snerlo recommended. Can you post a pic of them installed?

      Hey guys
I just tried to install some LED parkers in my R36. Admittedly they are not the canbus error free version which is probably the 1st place I went wrong. Anyway when I installed the 1st one it didn't light up when I turned the lights on and a light warning came up on the dash. So i put the original bulb back in but the error is still there and the light still doesn't light up.
Is it possible I have damaged something? Or does it just require an error reset?
      Help please

You may need a resistor across the terminals to get rid of the error with the LEDs. However, you may need to look at your wiring. Also, you may need to enable DRL in your computer (likely need a VCDS)
I've fitted LED DRLs to my CC and had lots of headaches to get it to work how I wanted (on all the time) but I still get errors which I ignore.

Leds have polarity- you may need to flip it around in the slot.
There should be no need to clear any fault codes- the cecm checks all the light circuits on startup. If the globe is good it should light up.

Yeah, as Kamold has said. If you are putting the original bulb back in, make sure you turn the ignition off and pull the key out, wait about ten seconds, and then put the key back in and check. I know I have had to do this before too so I know that you have to do this to "reset" the light checking diagnostics.

Thanks guys. The filament in the original bulb was broken which is why that light didn't work. Must have happened when I was swapping them around. As for the LEDs they must have been in the wrong way. They do light up now but only for about 2 secs and then they turn off again. I assume because there isn't enough resistance the car must turn the output off thinking there isn't a light. Looks like I'll just have to get a set of error free lights like in snerlo's link at the top of the page. I couldn't be arsed to do any resistor mods.

Yeah, that is definitely because you need canbus compatible bulbs mate. Once you have them, you'll be all sweet.

Sorry guys here are the pic's of my phillips parkers on.

Trust me even with the 2 led's these are plenty bright..

Reliable and fit a treat, they match the headlights very well.

How about the fogs? Can you get bulbs so they all tie in together?

I'm not 100% sure what fog bulbs the Passat takes?

I think it was H11 and HB4 depending on what type of fog you have.

                      You could get these ...

Philips Diamond Vision HB4 | Xenon Effect Headlight Bulbs | PowerBulbs

May throw up an error code but again I'm not sure.

Do you have a link for the Parker bulbs?

I turned the park lights on during the re-insertion which made it a lot easier to find the hole.
