Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Change onboard info system to English

    Hi

    A little while back, my Passat B7 infotainment system decided to have a fit and reset itself. In doing so, it also set itself to German.

    Managed to find a section to change to English but it says that the language is not available.

    I checked the car (bought second hand) and there is no CD for me to load language.

    Does anyone know how I can get it to speak English again?
