Thank you for the advice. Brown being the earth, which wires should I try from? Is the big connector with multi coloured wires

From your questions I suggest you take it to a car sparky and get it done properly before you short something out

Hey everyone thank you so much for your guidance. At the end , I found the culprit!

This clip was unhooked . I simply pushed it back in and now the sunroof started cranking. The shade opened . Probably will play around tommrow morning and figure it out more

        Thank you all [emoji3590]

I was going to say that connector looks a bit unplugged; great work!

Might it of been unplugged on purpose to hide another issue? Check all functions and leak test before celebrating

You are right. The outer seals does seems very worn out and somewhat distorted

Looks like someone siliconed it shut? Maybe it was leaking (usually caused by clogged drains), so they unplugged it and sealed it shut...

Sounds like the last owner probably screwed you over, if that has been siliconed shut its going to be a PIA job.

Removal of that crap without damaging anything, new seals, clean the drains, lube the sliding mech.

PIA stands for Pain In the Ass.

At this point, it might be good to get a second set of eyes to look over the car; who knows what others things have been hidden like that.

Your electrical issue sounds solved now; I think a body shop might be the next best place to ask, or just try some independent euro shops.

Thank you. I am happy that with my little DIY skills and all your advice got me this far. I am wondering if I should put my hand on to this matter too. Like, finding the rubber seals, lubricating the guides etc.

Oh and on another note, the sunroof curtain fell off. Need advice on that too
