Towbar coding / connection (and a haldex error)

2013 b7 v6 wagon
I have installed the towbar itself, as well as the westfalia oem module

I didn't use the loom that came with the module to the back of the car, as my car had trailer prep.
Unfortunately, when I plug it in I get a very dim brake light, and no indicator or tail lights. I'm led to believe that this is due to the trailer module not having power. Fished around under the dash, the connections seem to be in place but there is one plug that doesn't seem to have a home, and I can't find it's mate. No fuses blown that I know of (although I haven't checked since I did the coding)
I've plugged in the obd11, and activated towing control 69, but that has caused more errors. I've now got a persistent "globe" warning on the dash, not sure if it is the trailer module or the led #plate globes.
Any pointers here? Would like to get the trailer lights working if possible, although they're just for a bike rack.
Also found, completely randomly, a haldex clutch pump failed error. Is this something I should be worried about?

Did you splice the two can wires under the dash to connect the can signal to the back harness?

Also, Haldex pump failures are common, the filter gets clogged, and the pump runs all the time, burning the brushes out.
Clear the error, and if it returns or you don't have AWD (You will know pretty quickly in the v6 if you don't) you will need a new pump and filter for a rebuild.

I suspect you're right about the haldex, I do occasionally get a traction light when I don't expect to...

I will take a picture tomorrow, but there is a splice under the driver's dash area near the BCM, which connects the can network to the trailer module, has yellow wires with foam protection from memory; I think that was the way the dealers would fit the trailer module at the time.

This is near the driver's door rest on the right side, three way splice. I have a dealer fitted tow bar.
