Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • 09 R36 Steering wheel Retrofit help

    Hi team,

I need some help with my 09 R36.
I have recently swapped out my old 8 button steering wheel for a new 12 button steering wheel from a Golf mk6r. Everything works except for the horn. All the buttons work and light up as intended. My cruise control works, no lit up errors on the instrument cluster. I have swapped out the steering wheel control module for a AH revision one. G85 calibration successful. I just don't know why my horn does not work. Is it something to do with my coding or airbag harness/clock spring? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Need airbag harness rev C or higher.
If you already have that then you've unplugged the horn ring when installing the airbag.

I checked my airbag harness and discovered that I have a revision A harness. I'll get a rev c harness. Thanks again mate.
