It does,sequential number means the order in which cars are built starting from 000001 presumably

Actual vehicle number eg 836322 would be the eight hundred and thirty six thousand three hundred and twenty second of the model

Thanks guys. I thought the last number was to do with options but since it is a sequential number it all makes sense. There would be multiple cars with the same vin number if it was the way I thought it was.

Options are 3 digit numbers on the bottom half of the sticker inside the service book and usually on the similar sticker in the boot

but how does the Vin number of identical cars differ, only which have different configurations? I just looked at Vin's number on Vininspect and still can't figure it out. And if the equipment is the same, but the car was modified and, for example, an air conditioner was installed. How then to buy spare parts for an air conditioner, for example a radiator by Vin Number?

A VIN as already said is sequential in the order of build Options are as also said are on a sticker in the boot or in front of service book or manual

If they have different configurations they are NOT identical.

By going to ERWIN i got a 7 page readout of my car with everything about it on it
