B6 Passat 2.0 Tdi - Oil Pump Failed!! NEED NEW MOTOR! BMR/BMN?

Hi all,

Another 2.0 B6 Passat with an oil pump failure.

Looking to replace the engine or rebuild bottom end.

Can someone definitively advise that the BMR coded tdi and BMN is the same engine?

Also any suggestions/ prices on rebuilding the current engine?

Just throw another good used one in it.

Rebuilding isn't worth the expense.

Can't justify giving the NSW wreckers 2k for one..

BMN and BMR same same??
