A/c compressor problem

Hi, I've got a problem with my a/c. It won't turn off even when you unplug the compressor. My guess is that the solenoid for the variable compressor has failed. When you turn the a/c on the compressor is getting a signal and when you turn it off the signal goes away so the electronic side looks ok. It's a valeo dcs17 compressor.
Has anyone had an issue like this?
