V6 passat lane assist

Hi,
I have finally picked up my V6 passat with the drivers assist and vis package, on thursday last, after it arriving in Aus early December!, but don't seem to be able to swith on the lane assist. Side assist works well, but lane assist does not even appear in the assistants options camera is there is this a software issue from VAG, as the manual does not help.

If its the same as a TDI Lane assist should appear in the speedo to the right of centre and when working shows green as two little lines converging at the top It only works over a certain speed 65Kph?? and shows orange when not operating.

You should feel it in the steering anyway when its operating.

Mine comes up under "Assistants" and has Lane assist, Front assist and Bend lighting in that menu

yep the sports pack definitely worth the money for the wheels tint and seats. Front seats are even better.

Hillbilly, only side assist comes up.
Oh well....time to visit my VAG Dealer.

If we do go with an alltrack it sounds like the sports pack is a must!!

Harry, check out the pic of my B7 V6 speedo. Note the orange coloured lanes inbetween the centre of the dial & the 220km/h marker. That is lane assist & as Hillbilly mentioned it activates & turns green when you hit 65km/h. Of course, you need to turm it on in the OBC.

Inego, as far as the sport pack goes, well that is a no brainer..... Get it without any hesitation.....

No orange lanes in the centre of the dial, thats what made me curious, as side assist green exterior was on, camera is there, and buzuki, it has a towbar fitted with the modified light cable I have noticed for the issue with the LED tail lights. I have it booked in at the dealer local dealer for Valentines Day.

Hi Harry

Dont panic on this one. My B7 FSI was delivered last February and I had the same issue. If you can see the camera above the rear view mirror as some of the guys have posted on your thread, then it is there. It just requires your dealer to go into the VCDS and select the option. I found VW is very inconsistent with this and a few other issues with programming.

Enjoy the Passat... the V6 is beautiful and the exhaust note gets better as you get a few KM on it.

Thats a Blackvue DR400G but I have since put a DR 500G WiFI into it
