    What I meant was that as they are open to individual interpretation the people to ask are the people who enforce them.

    Possibly you may still get individual officers interpret them differently.

    All I can say is I wouldnt like to have to argue from the position of being stopped whilst playing something other than navigation on my VDU.

    Whether I was watching it or it was on for the kids.

    As I said buy a pair of screens for the back.

      I totally agree but as in previous post if the VDU is visible from the drivers seat and it has something other than navi on it, you could be described as "Able to watch it".
      Therefore you would be arguing from a bad position if Mr Plod catches you.

      I have it enabled and have played Concert DVD's when travelling.

      HOWEVER I then change it back to the map screen so can listen without the video part.

      Seems reasonably sensible I thought, no different to playing it from the HDD.

        Just stick some cardboard perpendicular to the right side of the screen so it blocks it from your view.
