Got sick of looking at the standard yellow corning lights so have just replaced with Phillips Crystal Vision. Colour now matches the Xenons. Has anyone replaced the parkers and puddle lights, if so what have you used and is it a simple swap? With the puddle lights , does the plastic just clip off or does the mirror need to be dismantled?

For those that are interested to remove the parkers simply pull on the flat plastic tab. This can be located by following the two wires that seem to disappear in the headlight behind the cover. Haven't figured out the puddle lights yet, hopefully the lens just pops out with a screw driver. Will give it a go tonight.

    Hi mate,

Very keen to do this as the yellow cornering lights are NOT cool Which Crystal visions did you use? part no.?

Yes, puddle lamp replaced with a square 4 SMD down firing board, the lamp cover simple unclips.
Parkers done also by pulling on the plastic tab, but one has started to flicker so will be ordering a another pair.

I also didn't like that the LED parkers seemed quite 'blue' in comparison, so would like to try and find a more 'clean' white that matches the Xenons.
    Dino.

Cornering lights used are Crystal Vision H7. They match the Xenons quite well. They simply pull straight out. They also came with parking globes. These are a little whiter than the OEM ones but are still yellow in comparison to the Xenons. Let us know if you find a good matching parking bulb. Do the LED parkers have the built in resistor and does it make installing it a problem?.

Managed to pull the fog lights out pretty straight forward but delicate. The bulbs are both H8

PASHN8 where did you buy the LED's from? Are they available locally or do you recommend an online store.

Having trouble removing the lens cover off the puddle lights seems to be glued on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The puddle light lens cover DOES NOT simply clip off, found this out the hard way. i.e broken lens. Found out that if you push the mirror forward there's a small torx screw that presumably holds the lens in place. Off to VW to order a new lens. $80! Sheesh!

You know what, I think you are right! (I did it a while ago!)

Push the mirror forward and if there is a torx screw, there is your answer

Yeah the whole lamp holder pops out, quite easy once you know how. Replaced the bulbs with some phillips 4000K W5W bulbs. Quite a bit whiter than the originals. I guess the'll do until I get some LED's.

Ive tried LED's for the Parkers and they dont work or I get an error message on DIS.

Apparently the issue is due the low voltage the parkers work on.

Has anyone successfully fitted LED's? Ive tried 2 sets with no luck
