Could do.. name a time and place, and I'll see how I go..
Excellent!
blutopless2 do you know any low traffic area around Laverton for the FGOTY contest?
One more Passat owner would be great though.
Anymore takers??
on the weekends there are some low traffic areas around laverton and heading into point cook's sanctuary lakes area and down to point cook itself... there is also some industrial areas in laverton north that are long roads with not much traffic on the weekends.

wrong side of town for me. But im also a little concerned. I get a jerky and sometimes slippage when in reverse.. tends to not move much until you jam the pedal down.

Come on man up I live pretty far from West as well
where about do you live?
mebius ... read your other post... what's up with the mirror dip??
Oh nothing serious but it's an annoying fault
basically, the mirror dips correctly when reversing but when it comes back up to original position it's slightly out of position.
So after about 6 reverses mirror is totally out of position and faces down not reflecting correct scene for me.

unfortunately its not a fault... apparently all VW cars with the dipping function do it. has been brought up on here numerous times. I thought mine was stuffed initially too.
seems silly to me that it cannot be rectified to return to its last position before dipping.

that's normal - mine has done it from new and from what I have read most people get this in reverse - especially if its parked on a slope.
Got a call from the dealer today - all the parts they need to fix my gearbox issues are on their way from Germany. Car is booked in for THREE days at the dealer at the end of the month as they need to remove the whole transmission to fix it. At least I'll get a loan car this time.
