  • Pics of R36 with 19's on? What tyres to go for 235 or 245's?

Help deciding which tyres to go for 235/35/19 or 245/30/19?

    Pics would help please:

Would i need to lower the R36 with 19's so it doesnt look like a 4x4 or can i get a way without lowering?

245 were too wide on my r36 with 19's... i had H&R coil overs on also so i had it sitting lower than standard. Just chaged to 235's and they are good.

These pictures where with 245's on the car, as the car was lowered with the coilovers, the 245's rubbed the inside guards over large humps or when the car was loaded in the rear.

what tyres did you get in 235/35/19?

as the tyres need to have a load rating of 94Y as a minimum and there isnt much out there.

Spoke to spinning wheel and they said I had to go a 235/40/19 but wont it look like 4x4?

happy to be shown otherwise, but my research has led me to believe that you cannot get the required load rating (95Y) for an r36 in a 235/35/19. There has been some talk of getting an engineer to certify a lower rated tyre in this size, but i am unsure of the details. The load rating for the passat CC in a 19 inch rim is only 91Y

some good reading here - http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f39/...ngs-44396.html
