If anyone is interested the plate VR 36 VW is available at the RTA in NSW for $200 application fee and only $90 per year fee as at 27 June
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.

Maybe a VR6 with an R36 motor in it? Or maybe an R36 with a VR6 motor in it (i don't know if you would bother doing that....)?

But it is a pretty cool number plate combination either way
I'm going to the pub... I may be some time...

is that for a Euro Style plate or just a personalised plate.

Reason I ask is I thought all the NSW euro style plates started with an N -like in Vic where they all start with a V...

The R36 does have a VR6 in it

It can work on a few levels.

The Passat R36 is a VR6, so it could be VR*6VW.
          It could also be *R36VW.
Or it could just work on both levels. VR36VW.

          Fail troll has failed.

Actually tried to reserve this plate but it was already taken. RTA said it was held in storage for some guy who lived in Canberra, was doing some work in Melbourne, was going overseas but now looks like moving back to Canberra and reserved it just in case he one day moves to NSW

Since this thread came up, I'll take the opportunity to ask a question I've been meaning to ask various owners with similarly-labeled plates for a while.... What is the appeal, for example, of adding further "R36" labeling on the number plate when the car is easily identified as an R36 and it has badges front and back stating the same?

Please note - not a knock to the OP or anyone else with such plates... just wondering =) Personally I find the Knowal plate quite amusing

I don't get the whole personalised numberplate thing either.
I also find the knowal plate joke quite funny, well done Highlander!
