What did the Adrenalins set you back? I've heard good things about them.

Could be a bit of both alignment and driving hard.... Fronts were ruined by 15k and the rears were like new

Balance, rotate and align roughly every 10-15,000km.
That's about it. I'm not the world's fastest or hardest driver, but neither am I particularly gentle and a lot of the roads I drive on aren't exactly good quality - potholed, coarse aggregate, etc. Also run with a fully loaded car for long distances fairly regularly..MY08 Passat 2.0 TDI Wagon

I normally get two new tyres for the R36 every year. They go on the front. The existing fronts move to the rear, and the rears go to the big tyre shop in the sky.
It's four years old and has less than 40000km on it, but I'm not complaining. I can't get to my house without driving along about 5km of twisties (seriously, there's no other way in) and that's often done enthusiastically. I'm using RE002's at the moment, they're pretty good. Might get more from these.
50000km from a set? Sounds like light truck all terrain tyresR36 =

Remember the treadwear number. My Kumho's have a number of 600 which is very high, the spare in the boot was a Pirelli P0 which had a rating of 220. The higher the number, the longer they last. I rotated the spare to the front and completed 11000km and the Pirelli was half stuffed while all the Kumho's have done 30000km and they still have 40-50% on them. If you have 50 profile tyres (235/50/17), run them around 36Psi around town or 40psi on the freeway which gives better rolling resistance but slightly less grip through corners.

I got 45k out of a set of Bridgestone RE050's - good grip too
