Don't suppose you can scan and post a copy of that (minus your details of course)... Just so I can prove it to other dealers. They shouldn't be charging VWA significantly less than the general public. Both the ACC and Dept. Fair Trading would be interested in that!

Barloworld just rang me back and told me it would be $440 for a 15,000km service! LOL!!! I laughed at that and when I asked why they charge that much they couldn't tell me... This is hilarious. I'd really love to see that invoice now!

me too - isn't that the internal price that they charge VW per the promotion assuming at cost, rather than the profit inflated figure they charge the average Joe? Still ringing around on the extended warranty has shown an amazing variation in price. Location / time is also a factor. For basically an oil change and quick inspection $300 is getting a bit rich.

Parts: Oil, Oil Filter, Sump Plug.
              Labour: 1.8hrs

$300 is still expensive if you ask me. But seems to be the bottom end of the scale.

Since dealers and VWA are independent of each other, there is no real reason why they should be charging VWA significantly less than the public for the same service. It's interesting (and annoying).

My 15k service was also around $180, no special promotion when I bought my car, though I do get a fleet discount (Motorpass)
Confirmed Global Warming Sceptic. No Longer a VW Owner -Loving my new 2011 Range Rover Sport - bought as VW unable to provide info on the new Toureg despite it being released overseas 12 mths ago. 2008 R36 Wagon, 2006 GTI and 2004 R32 - Gone. Sorry VW, you make great cars but until you improve your customers' experiences you will lose customers
