R36 Stock

I've been trying to have a look at a R36 in white before I decide if I want to order one.
Dealer said I'd have to order a car in the colour and options I want.
None of the dealers near me have any stock let alone a white one.
Why are stock kept so low?
Are the R36's not selling well , are they being phased out or is VWA trying to keep them exclusive?
Dropped my car in for service at the Audi Dealer and could see any number of A4's in all sorts of colour/combinations

I am facing the same issue and in WA no one has one. Best I could do was to ring JH and they can arrange a drive of one. One of their managers has one which can be used for a test drive. I think you need to book a time.

I was told by JH that they only order as purchased as they are too expensive. Makes me wonder why they wan't to play in the luxury market if they dont keep stock. You will also find the deliver time is over the top as well. I asked about getting one already ordered and it appears no dealer is willing to share with other dealers.

White is a standard colour so any VW in that colour will be the same. I think Osb Park had a white CC last time I looked.

think its probably a case of them being snapped up as soon as they arrive.
have seen a few in white and imho i think they look great. if i was to get one it would definitely be in white.

Its actually the opposite, the have become very popular of late and VWA under estimated demand. That combined with the GOVT 50% tax deduction has seen all the stock dry up and hence the 4 month wait on orders. Most stock disappeared at end of FY.

The white is awesome, comes standard with the Sunroof and cant be ordered without it (see other loooooooooong threads on the issue)

Dead right I was trying to get the best deal looking around for about two months before the end the FY and there were some in stock I could have bought but not silver that I wanted. I sold my car 1.5 months later before the end of the year and was ready to buy and there were none left all sold except black ones which I did not want even went to QLD and NSW to talk to dealers which had sold out. I ended up buying from wodonga and now have 3 months left in waiting (hopefully). Hope it's worth the wait.

Hi R34, I was lucky enough to be able to view a local member's (LanceB) white R36 and as soon as I saw it my mind was made up. Colour choice in a car is such a subjective beast, but if you have a predeliction for white cars I think that you will love the look of the R36 in white.

Try searching for some local R36 owners or just see if a dealer might put an owner with a white car in touch with you. Worth trying, you never know...

saw one at chatswood, if this one is not sold already, it was the one we were going to buy, but we got the silver one instead with all options. This one is white and might be one of the last in Sydney.

Still cannot decide on an R36.
Yes they're great value but they haven't really grabbed me.
That's why I was hoping to see one in white.
The indecision stems from the fact the Missus doesn't really like it.
She loves our A3 but we don't want another one as it will feel just the same for more money.
We are going to test a white A4 Limited Edition with 2.0T Quattro DSG this week.
I love the look of them but can't help feeling I'll be paying more for less as they're basically the same car as the Passat.
The missus will leave it up to me ,as long as I'm happy she's happy but if anyone could post some pics of tricked up Passats/R36 it would help with the decision process.

Isnt the Passat a bigger car than the A4? The A4 is closer in size to a Jetta I think.

Yeah, Passat and A4 are based on a different chassis. The A4 has a longer wheelbase but the Passat is longer... the A4 is wider, the Passat is higher.

I can't be bothered looking at the interior specs. I haven't spent much time in the new A4 but I know the previous model was noticeably smaller on the inside - given the specs of the new A4 this may no longer be as obvious.

The A4 is like 100mm longer in the wheelbase than the Passat and is a much larger car than the previous A4
