The plastic cover pulls off and the amp is held in place by 2 allen key bolts.

Hehehe, didnt want to try and pull the cover off - took the battery cover off the other day and took me ages to get it back on!

Yep and the battery is a big bastard. Like you I wouldn't have tried to take the cover off either the amp or the battery. But the 'pros' seem to know how to do it without damaging the connectors.

for a stock system it's OK, but some change will work wonders... loudness isn't what I want...

The stock system is fantastic! Quality is great! I seriously don't understand what more all you guys who want better than the standard system want. Do you get music in your car with good bass and decent clarity? Yes. What more could you want? lol

No idea... it was like that when I picked it up... I'll have to read the manual LOL...

Well today was pickup day. A few issues though!

1. They "forgot" to spec Dynaudio in the order.
2. The sat nav is currently inoperative
3. There is a real rough pickup in 1st or reverse on first moving off (with or without autohold on)
4. No nav DVD in sight...
5. They charged me for the USB cable that is supposed to come included with the MDI device that is installed (after first telling me that MDI wasn't fitted as it was on back order, until I said "it's a factory fit" and they had another look and found it - they waited until I arrived to pickup to tell me that?!?!)
6. They hadn't got me an iPod cable despite me having asked multiple times in writing over the last 2 months.

At this stage they are promising to rectify everything (including retro-fitting Dynaudio by ordering a new car with it and swapping it all over!)

Anyone else had such an interesting start to the ownership experience?

The car itself - apart from the rough first moving in 1st or R, a wonderful drive. Sounds just fantastic... that exhaust note... ahhh!!! Feels well put together, and so far am very impressed with it. As for the dealer, well... we'll see how they go resolving the issues I guess.

which dealer? I am awaiting my V6 Highline from a Brisbane Dealer....

How did you set names for your radio stations?

I'm pretty sure it's the digital radio tranmission which automatically shows up the name of the station on your screen. Had it on my old A4 also.

Anyone had trouble with the Dynaudio cutting out. Mine's just 3 weeks old and it shuts down all sound from the radio and GPS - seems like when it gets hot. Takes some time and then have to stop the engine and remove the key to get it going agin. Usually lasts about an hour before it custs out unless it's turned up loud for a short time. On the 2 "frekin" hour commute its a pain.
