Oh yay! Another keyboard warrior that wants to start an argument and derail a thread.

Any tinter that doesn't want to take the trim off is either lazy or in a hurry to get onto the next car.

WRONG! They want to ensure no rattles or badly fitting trim. EVERY time trim it removed, it is compromised to a certain point and will never fit back as tightly as it does from the factory. It takes SIGNIFICANTLY longer to tint a car with trims on than it does if you take them off. A tinter who respects a customer's car enough to spend the extra time needed to do just as good of a job without pulling the customer's car apart is doing it THE RIGHT WAY.

Calling tinters who take the time needed to do a complete job unprofessional is uncalled for, the industry wouldn't be so poorly regarded if there were more of them around.

I don't mince words. I tell it like it is, so I don't really mind if anyone thinks it's uncalled for or not. It's fact and that's really all there is to it.

Now arguing with keyboard warriors is a waste of time and they're usually relentless (like the oil for the R36 thread). So this will be my last post on the matter - especially since it's completely off topic. No point arguing when you're right anyway! lol

Back on topic..... I saw a silver R36 wagon on my way home from work today. I have to say my opinion of silver changed slightly. It looks better than I thought it would in person. Normally I find silver cars look dull but th R36 stood out. Some nice shadow chrome wheels would look good though. Just to break it up a bit. Factory rims painted shadow chrome maybe?

It is dissapointing that you have been misguided by your tinter, and even more so that you're passing your misguided knowledge onto others. As I said earlier, the industry has a bad repution and this is part of the reason why.

Sorry for the delay, i've been at a conference for the last 2 days. I'm pretty sure the guy i dealt with was Peter. Older guy (only mentioned this for your ref) who leant me his HSV when i had to duck into the city for some errands while i was waiting for my car to be tinted. Full life-time guarantee for the tint job. (IIRC which i think extends to the length of time you own the car). Very happy with the job they did and was a happy experience all around!!
