Hi,
I have a fault in my stereo in my R36 only 3 months old. The problem has been intermittent since I took delivery of the car.
I was wondering if anyone else may have experienced the same problem.
At least once a day, sometimes twice the speakers at the top of the doors on both front and back seats do not work at all. I believe these are the tweeters. The result is very poor sound quality as there is no top end and is bassed out. Even adjusting the treble/mid/bass does not resolve the problem.
The only way I can fix the problem is too stop the car, making sure the stereo is on a radio talk station, take the keys out of the ignition for a few seconds, then put them back in and turn stereo back on. Even this procedure needs to be repeated several times occasionally.
While I know how to rectify the problem, it's still difficult for me to replicate on the spot. The car is going in for the V6 recall on Tuesday. I'm hoping they'll be able to rectify the stereo problem too but I have concerns that since it is intermittent, and computer may say no, that it will not be fix.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? I guess it's either a wiring fault maybe when dynaudio was fitted at factory or faulty head unit.
Thanks
