3.2 V6 Tune
I would be very interested in a 30Nm increase in my car.
I reckon this bloke can earn some serious coin if he gets onto this promptly - been looking for a performance mod for my car for 2 years now.
Any comments from the big boys? Guy at APR? REVO dealers? Is there 30Nm to be found in the non-force fed engines?RIP!2007 Passat 3.2 4Motion Black Sedan | 19"s | AVC-9000 | Audi A3 Sportback 2.0TFSIQ

People who don't respond to customer enquiries because they have no news have a lot to learn about customer service. Even if he eventually gets back to me I won't buy anything from him now. I just don't get a good feeling from him. I've been is sales for 15 years and communication is everything.
If Neil from Evolve-Technik gets back to me I'm send my business his way even if the power return is not quite as high.
I don't know about making "serious coin" as there's not a huge market out there for R36 updates. My enquiry to him yesterday was the first he's received
APR have nothing for the R36 as far as I'm aware.
Cheers

Oettinger did evaluation testing on the car to see if it was worthwhile offering software & deemed it not feasible. (heavily influenced by the European market).
APR is here in Brisbane next month for three weeks calibrating cars, we will look into it then.
I have 9 customers in Brisbane alone who want their R36 to go faster (so no problem getting test cars!), but it remains to be seen what improvements can be made!

So what's your opinion then of the Wett chip offering a 30Nm increase in torque? Do you believe that it's an "inflated claim"?
When you say "not feasible", can you elaborate? Do this mean that there's no real demand or that the performance increases are simply not worth their efforts?-------------------------------------

I have no idea about any one Else's claims, only way to verify them is buy it & dyno before & after (with a money back guarantee of course!)
Knowing how Oettinger work, and from memory - the conversation went "who will pay $2k for 10hp & 10ftlb? - I'll see if I can find out exactly what they found.
They certainly did an investigation into it some time ago, I'll ask the tech tonight if I remember!

And don't forget the 3.2 V6!
Or am i the only one who didn't know at time of purchase that for about $1500 you could get the 2.0TFSI to go quicker!
I did want the 4Motion and DSG though...
Maybe i should just swap cars with the missusRIP!2007 Passat 3.2 4Motion Black Sedan | 19"s | AVC-9000 | Audi A3 Sportback 2.0TFSIQ

Hi all,
Got a preliminary response from Evolve-Technik this afternoon.
The info is minimal at this stage but promising.
Their tuner in Germany does have tunes available for the R36. Their high output tune in combination with an exhaust system will provide an additional 30HP.
He doesn't have the torque figures for me yet nor pricing but I've requested it ASAP so I can pass it on to all of you.
There are no exhaust systems in production for the R36 at the moment so they'll need to source one in order to provide the full power increase. He's going to look into this for me and get back to me.
We may have more pull in the pricing department if we can arrange a group buy. Don't know if anyone is interested in that but it's worked well for me with previous cars.
That's all for now. As soon as I get more I'll post it.
Cheers
