You could get the R line CC's over seas but they didn't bring them into Aus. Now they have dropped the CC's all together lol

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Did the R-line from overseas go any quicker? I'm pretty impressed with the current performance as is. I must admit I did have the resonator removed to give it that R36 growl. My only issue is little small rattles from dash trim which I think I have now eliminated using felt on the trim clips. Yes a shame they have discontinued the cc - I love the lines. I notice the new Mercs have continued with the same style. The new Merc coupe could be mistaken as a two door cc if it didn't have the three pointed star on the boot lid.

Not really quicker, they had a r line kit and some extra bits. You could get a diesel 4 motion in Europe also.
The v6's sound great! even better with a exhaust if you ever get to that point
The new cc looks great overseas, I'm sure it would of done ok here if given the chance

Retrofitting Dynaudio question
Awesome stuff Tim, let us know what you think of the Dynaudio system after the install. There's a big difference when we were testing it back to back, same track in 2 CC's between the standard and Dynaudio so you won't be disappointed.

The car is awesome so far, I still have to go through the manual to cover all the tech in it

Thanks guys
I love the colour as well, it changes a bit depending on the light outside... Once I received the green light from the Mrs, I went and bought it the next day, the dealer was 5 minutes away from my work, and had this one fully loaded...

Hi guys - just thought I would up date you with the final instalment of the Dynaudio saga. All fitted just before Christmas and works brilliantly. RJT86 - you were absolutely on the money - am certainly not disappointed. The sound is truly awsome - I don't know how they can produce that kind of base without a sub?? The job is so professional right down to the software showing 'sound by Dynaudio' at the base of the VW start up screen.
Thanks again vexed - all worth it in the long run.
BTW - still happy with the 206??

That is really awesome to hear. I'm glad everything worked out great despite the hurdles.
The 206 is going great, one of the best cars I owned, especially for the price I bought it. I just have one issue with the sunroof making clicking noises on uneven roads, no big deal, will have checked on the next service.
I'm also enjoying the Canton 12-speaker audio system, definitely a well balanced system, better than standard.
Cheers.

I know this thread is a little old now, but how did you go about mounting the rear Dynaudio tweeters in your CC, as the rear door trims in the standard set-up don't have the space/cut-out for them? Did you get new trims? Kind regards, Jamie
