Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 2012 CC TDI - Adblue?

Just bought a 2012 CC 125 Diesel with DSG. Black on black on black.

Has all documentation along with full service history. (Ex leased vehicle).
    Two questions if I may:
    1. Does this vehicle require Adblue. Documentation refers to its usage but I cannot find ant fill point. Assuming (big mistake) that these vehicles do not use/require Adblue.

    2. Does the Navigation/Radio system NS 510 need a "radio code" in the event of a flat battery etc.

Thank you for your assistance and I look forward to visiting and contributing for many years.

    Whoops. Question 3.

What are the options for purchasing a OBD2 diagnostic program for the CC.

      Hi Unity,

      1. Mine does not require Adblue, so it's safe to say yours won't either.

      2. AFAIK, the RNS 510 does not require a "radio code".

      Cheers,
      EB.

Rns only needs the pin if moved to a new car, or if the instrument cluster is changed. Not for a flat battery.
Obd options include VCDS from Ross-tech or OBDEleven

The manual is generic for most countries and a lot of what is in there does not apply to Aus models.
