Passat & CC Airbag Recall

I thought the VW's got away from the Takata airbag recall, but looks like they haven't.

Various Golf's, Passat's, CC's and Polo's affected.

Had mine done around 12 months ago now on recall. I understand they only do the front two airbags - what about the others? I assume they all use the same firing mechanism (chemical compound becomes hydrated in humid environments and reacts to being fired with extra explosivity!).
