  • Hello fellow Arteon owners

Thought I should introduce my self, have owned my Arteon for about six months now, it's manganese grey with the Sound and Style package.

Have done a few mods to it, Eibach lowered springs, turbo intake pipe and APR stage 1 tune, the tune has transformed the car, so good to drive now.

    cheers,
    DatEon

Can i ask where you got the tune done? Was it expensive? Im thinking of perhaps doing it at some stage!

      Hi Mr_206,

      Thanks for the welcome.

Had it done at the nearest APR dealer to me, Terry at Motor Mechanics Melbourne in Oakleigh, very helpful and friendly, Terry did me a deal, best call him for a chat.
I posted some pics on the Newbies Corner page, see below.

          Car looks great!

Wonder how the tune goes with car servicing?

Had it serviced about 2 months ago so it will be a while before I find out, in the mean time I'll make the most of it.

Dude - that Beast is the Bomb!

Yeah, not much happening in Melbourne. We're a mighty exclusive branch of the Arteon club here.

Thumbs up on the rare occasion we spot each other!

                  Cheers!

Hi DatEon, it looks mighty impressive with those wheels, well done.

Quick question, I have the same spec/colour as you but have the grey 20" Rosario wheels. What are your thoughts in getting the calipers painted red? I know that the stock calipers are just chunks of metal but curious to know your thoughts about it.

                      Hi Shane,

Haven't given it much thought regarding Arteon calipers, but I do have red calipers on my other car which has similar colour wheels and they look good on that.

                      cheers!

Our brake calipers are the ugliest i have ever seen. The new model has the R blue brakes which we should have had from the start

Not just the calipers, even the front discs look proportionally small. They work, but they don’y look good. At least 245mm next time, please VW!!!!

The front rotors are 340mm (front) and 310mm (rear) (both vented).
Before the MQB Platform, the front rotors where actually 345mm on V6 etc.

I am sure you don't want 245mm rotors...

Haha, you are right. My R36 had 345s I think. Would’ve been nice if the Arteon had the same or bigger.
