. I wondered if it might be but haven’t had the chance to do a launch as been too wet in Melbourne.. need to find a reliable app to measure th 0-100 that can work with the obd eleven (if anyone has any recommendations shout out)

I have mine booked in next week for a custom sports exhaust, 3” 304 stainless from the DP( not doing the DP yet). The ABT Sportsline system is setup for a stock car at the moment and they haven’t yet developed a downpipe of their own. I will probably end up running that but haven’t ordered it. I have just received my H&R lowering springs though (30mm rear, 25mm front) so I am keen to get them in and see how it looks. Will keep you posted on the progress.

        Post pics when you can!!!

Also I'm keen to know if you need a retune for the exhaust system. And if so...if they need to program in the "DSG farts".

Retune is only required if you change the downpipe. If you do the rear muffler / resonator this is only thee to reduce noise and shouldn’t impact on performance.

DSG farts are related to speed of gear changes as well as the exhaust. You can get more or less DSG farts by changing shift speed in the transmission tune.

Any chance you could record sound at idle, rev and WOT with shift changes after install?

I sure can. I took some ‘before’ footage using an external mic which picked up the sound pretty good, so I will do the same for the ‘after’. It went in this morning and should be done by tomorrow afternoon or Wed. Prob won’t get any footage until Saturday but we’ll see. Springs are going in on Friday so all going well it should be a good week.

                Will keep you all posted.

Great work Hicks, looking forward to being inspired to spend my tax return before I get it!

The exhaust sounds epic! I’m extremely surprised how loud the “DSG farts” are now, they blast through the streets! I honestly thought it would need a tune to produce this sound but a catback alone is intense. I’ll get it recorded Saturday for all to hear.

Sorry guys, I ended up going away last weekend and couldn’t get it done. Sorry for the lack of update. I’m filming/recording today so you will hear it very soon! The lowering springs also went in and they are nice, very subtle but just makes the slightest difference closing the wheel arch spaces a bit better. Ride is minimally firmer, I only notice it if going over a speed bump, just need to take those a bit slower. Also any dip (eg driveways) they need to be taken a tiny bit slower too or the front bar scrapes (only minor). I’ll hopefully have the recording up soon

If the intake is the same as the Mk7 R/GTI, you can cut the blanking out also.

Theres a few OBDeleven performance mods you can do, looks like you've done the Throttle mod, there is also a couple of Diff mods.

Check out my timeline, might a be a couple of things you can do
