I have turned that off using my OBDeleven through there app i love it , it was probably the most annoying feature on the car.

Ohh...what/where was the setting in OBDII? I'd like to turn it off in my car.

this is the vcds way, but u can do the same via OBD11.
i did this on my Superb - so much better now cause it kept pissing me off.

Yep. My wife's Skoda does the same thing. I think it's by design.

The whole "not allowed to overtake on the left" thing. You can override it by tapping the accelerator when you feel it happening, and the car will go back up to the set cruise speed.

So its only when a car is in the right lane correct?

So i assume system works fine if there is a car in the left lane.

Anyone in NW Melb who could code this in for me? Any also remove that annoying message about watching the road rules and having to hit ok all the time!

Correct.
Default for RHD market is to not overtake cars in the right lane.
Cars in the left lane r ignored.
This tweak will ignore cars in the right lane too.

Naturally, for LHD - this is reversed.

This looks the same (eg the options) on both cars. This is on VCDS v19.6 or so - whatever the latest one is.

Should be doable as its one of the simpler mods on VAG cars using OBDEleven

Allows ACC equipped RHD vehicles to overtake on the left side, which is blocked by default. NOTE THIS REQUIREMENT

U appear to b in the wrong "byte", based on ur screenshot!!
U need to go to byte 2, and untick bit 5.
