The European models are the same. I believe it was directed towards the V6TDI in an effort to reduce fuel usage to around 6's/100km for some tree hugging reason are so. The V8TDI slips less then the V10TDI with more power, so win win there.
If you look at exchange rates and sales tax/GST applied to Kiwis I think we are looking at just over $100K for the V8TDI.....bargin.
