  • Bargain MY15 Diesels

I drove past the local Patricks distribution yard today and saw a bunch of MY15(?) TDI Tiguans sitting in the yard growing cobwebs. They've been stuck down the very back corner. There were also a few other diesel Skodas (a Yeti and some older Superbs) in the same place.

One wonders when this stock is going to go on sale and what they're going to do to shift it (i.e. what sort of discount/incentive would be offered).

Thinking there may be some bargains to be had as soon as the ACCC allows VW to sell these cars.

Yep! Especially with new Tiguan here. I've seen a Skoda Yeti Diesel sitting in a local dealership for ages, they even had to replace the battery on it.. Brand new, they can't sell it untill ACCC hurries up, thousands to be saved for a perfect product thats for sure!

Looks like there's more Tiguans than any other cars. A couple of white R-lines and quite a few standard TDI's.

          Likewise.

I'd happily take one as is.

Yes I'd be interested in these when they become available too. As long as timing lines up I'd take one for a work car for a couple of years. But the price would have to be right as there's no point paying top $ for a 2 year old car.

Damn! just had a look on Google Earth, and you can't tell which ones are which. Bugga! LOL

Good golly gosh, I want to put my hand up for one of these.

Doesn't anyone (he begs) have any contacts in VW Oz that can say if and when?

I have some (potentially) bad news for anyone looking to snag the bargain of the century on a 2 year old 0km car.

I'm almost certain these vehicles are all still caught up the dieslegate fiasco, no fix yet and everything is dragging on through the courts with ACCC case.

The vehicles have now also been taken off dealers books so possibly they're going to be sold off to a fleet buyer or run through a government dept. Though first things first there has to be a "fix" agreed to, recalls & compensation for existing owners and then these cars will be sold.

They may still get offered back to the dealers in case any dealer wants to run one or 2 as demo's. Unless they're giving some reasonable discounts I can't see too many jumping over themselves to take a handful.

Suggest anyone interested talk to your dealer when the fix is announced and see if they can get their hands on any of this stock. By the sounds of things it may drag on into next year in which case these 2015 plated cars will effectively be 2 years old.

                    Hi all, especially Tigger73.

I think there is some movement at the station, as i have come across a cople of ads today for MY15 & MY16 130TDI Tigs, with "delivery k's" only. I saw one at a whopping 71kms. Another with 420. So it looks like some cars are being released!

I feel sorry for anyone trying to sell a diesel Tig now with these ones going for bargain basement prices...

I saw this one too, and it's lack of picture did not phase me...

                            Then I found the R-Lines.

It is confirmed, there are two 130TDI R-lines at Sutherland VW (NSW), though try to avoid the rather pushy Larry(he might be a nice guy, but he came across like a 1970's car salesman... well, to me, anyway). Final, absolute best rock bottom price, before I walked out the door to sign on the dotted line with Botany VW for $35k, was $35.5k. Five minutes into the drive to Botany, and Larry was on the phone, "oh the Manager said he *would* match".

But Botany was smooth as glass, and got the sale.

I did find most dealers in NSW have a couple of the 130TDI's as officially second-hand cars, in various guises.

And Sutherland still has two R-lines; Pearl Black, and Metallic Night Blue.

Hope you all get the model you want. I did!
