  • GIAC or APR or AVA(BPS)

    Hi Guys

Looking at getting the Tiguan 2012 2.0TSI Stage 1 Chip, any ideas about what's happening with the APR Company, and how is the GIAC Stage 1, and does any have an Idea how the chip done by Bayside Performance Service Stage1(Done by James), Really Undecided.

    Cheers

The only place in Brisbane that can really effectively do a 2.0TSI Tiguan is APR. A few dealers around but I'd suggest you contact APR directly.

I'm sure others may disagree, but I'm yet to see an effective tune for the Tiguans from anybody else .....

I have tuned Tiguans, just not the main focus of my business. File structures aften different to other vws that doesn't mean no one else can tune them though.
You can be pretty confident in two things, APR can do it and they won't be cheapest.

I want to retune my Tiguan somewhere down the line and have seen so many options (APR, GIAC, Revo, SpecTune, SuperChips etc). I didn't realise they were so different to the others (GTI, Jetta) as h100vw mentioned. Does this mean the standard tunes for other 2L turbo VW's don't apply directly to the Tiguans? APR seems to be the safest option, but also the most expensive.

Lots of software variations between models. Tuners all approach this differently. Even in the same model year. Playing with fire flashing one not based on an original read usually.

It's mainly due to the fact that our dollar is currently only buying 71 cents... APR is a US company. There will be a 10% off special maybe mid year?

Yes Philip did my stage 2 tune on my MK7 GTI. James wrote the tune for me and more than happy with it. Philip knows his stuff as well as James with his tunes.

Philip now has his dyno setup and calibrated so you can do a before and after run.
