What did you do to your Tiguan today?

I had a full exhaust on my old Tiguan. The rear section started off with just a sports muffler and it was too loud for general everyday use (my wife hated it). I had a resonator stuck in and it quietened it down to a good level where it could be driven quietly around but still had a bit of a bark on WOT.

Got a new battery today... The last 2 days the old one seemed like it was struggling a bit, in retrospect!

Original was manufactured early 2009 & has served me well, 106 000km's & over 5 1/2 years since purchasing new.

That's a pretty good run from the battery. I'm used to replacing my battery every two years on my previous Honda Accourd Euro.

Ordered new tyres today 215/65/r16 in bridgestone d697 pattern all terrains for my tourer, also about to order my eibach prolift springs

I managed to get my new Wingbars mounted and get all my cycle carriers up there too, also hard wired my Satnav unit in so it charges with ignition on.

Ordered some R-Line wheel caps today. I've had a VW one pinched on two occasions - saw the screw driver gauge marks on the failed attempt on the rear cap. I suspect someone is replacing their missing ones, so hopefully they won't take these since they don't match theirs... either that, or they will take all four

I loathe thieves. They deserve to get their fingers cut off!

Oh, also installed a Street Guardian SG9665GC dash cam the other day. Pretty clean stealthy install if I do say so myself (let me know if anyone wants pics). Bad timing though as my wife got into a small bing the day I received the dashcam. Someone cut past her going perpendicular. She braked hard and thought they missed but when she got home there was contact and the front left corner had been swiped. Nothing broken but missing about 5c coin worth of paint and also scratch marks

i changed the low beam bulbs to osram 120% last week and i've ordered these for the high beam

Hardwired my Valentine radar detector, installed a p3cars boost gauge vent and removed my 2.0tsi and 4motion badges recently.
Just about to pick it up from a mini detail.

In need of new tyres and thinking of taking the opportunity to get new rims, keen on the RS6 19's.
Not sure whether to go anthracite to match the car, gloss black or silver...
