MY14 Tig genuine reverse camera fitment

Hi all,
I bought a genuine reverse camera on ebay for the tiguan, went to install it yesterday but only got as far as the boot that goes between the tailgate and the roof. We couldn't get the cables through that boot. Has anyone done this install on a current model tiguan? where did you tap into for power and signal for the camera?. If anyones got a step by step guide on how to do this including pulling all the trims off etc would be fantastic!

There should be a DIY on here just do a Google search if you can't find it searching on the forum. There's a few that have done this mod. I took power from the outlet in the boot.

Thanks mate, i have tried to search but nothing relates to a current model or genuine camera. There is a video on youtube on how to pull the trims off the tailgate but nothing else.

I'm pretty sure the update shape is the same underneath as far as electrical/wiring/trims etc.

Ive fitted the camera, as per instructions on here, took it to local VW to programme for it to work, and said they couldn't do it!!!!!!. Is someone in victoria that could have a look, and programme it for me?, i would travel....
