My Tiguan is fitted with 235/55/16 tyres now I would love to rid my self of the temporary tyre ,But is there a Vw 16'' wheel that will fit onto the Tiguan a 195 or a 205 as I don't want to raise the floor quite as far as some of you have done thanks

Each to his own but we have done same - that is we have a pressurised puncture repair kit in the car for all local driving and throw in (usually on its side) a full size spare for longer trips. For the Mrs I think she'd have more hope with the pressurised kit anyway and it gives us another option as well even when we have the spare in.

Where it really helps is everyday local use. The boot of the tig is really quite deep and spacious with the space saver spare and surrounds removed. Indeed we looked at a Q5 and realised that would be a backward step in boot space compared with the Tig (in the way we have set-up), and we have always loved the additional flexibility of the sliding rear seat.

Without all the surrounds we also have more boot space than standard even when the full size spare is in.

But if i ever need to drive long distance, i will also bring a spare full sized wheel / tyre.

That should cover me from 3 tyres puncture eh?
