Pity its a pre-facelift. I myself is looking at buying a 132 Pacific MANUAL in about 2 months time. 12/13MY models ..... would consider non Pacific but has to be post-facelift.

If you're worried about the DSG, just because you're buying a s/h with already some kms on, you can also consider 6speed auto that was in 2010 TDI and also later in Pacific 132TSI Tiguans. Otherwise I have to agree the Subarus and Hondas are hard to go pass for the long term reliability, if you like their style.
I wouldn't mind the Subaru XV if they'd come with the diesel and the A/T. But, at the moment I just couldn't support (with my purchase) the manufacturer that is so low tech, that it brings the next question up; what else they don't develop/have in their cars?

Is that based on an age thing or a looks thing?

I'm vain, purely a looks thing

              Someone buy mine then

Nov 2011 132TSI with 7 speed DSG. Its grey and has 52,000klms on it. Only option is comfort pack. Had it serviced 2 weekends ago and all is good. Awesome car, love it to bits, but i am contemplating moving on to something else. Its in good condition with the only damage being a small dent in the front guard. Idiot kids fell off a scooter into it and dented it. Paintless dent removal would sort it though i just dont have the time

I havent convinced the missus that the new car is needed but just thought i would throw it out there

just an update. my brother went with a 2009 honda crv luxury. low kms, and full service plus it was about $10k cheaper than the tig. he didnt want any potential problems to surface, and hondas give him that.
after driving it, u can definitely notice the lower level of refinement, like a sheet of a4 paper vs thick cardboard stock. sure u can write on both, but they r just different

                    Hi walbjj,
done 85,000 kliks in a 09 turbo diesel 6 spd manual, no probs so far, averages around 6.1 kms per litre, reg serviced NOT at a VW dealer. just had to replace a windscreen $300 fitted (in an hour), pretty good value for a euro car.
                    cheers

I think you might mean 6.1 ltr per 100km. 6.1 kms per litre works out at about 366 km per tank full (not real good)
