Hi All,
I just had my Tiguan 60K service completed at local VW specialist. (Have had my last 3 services there for the Tig and GTI and been happy).
Now everything went fine as per scheduled service but they left the following recommendations on the service summary;
1. Front windscreen wipers need replacing.
2. Rear brake pads + rotors need replacing - $595 (not arguing the price as thats not too bad).
I agree the wipers are worn, so they are correct in picking up on this, but I wanted some advice regarding the rear rotors.
The pads are definitely low, but the rotors do not have a lip/ridge at all so I am wondering why I would need to replace? I am going to check the minimum width this weekend which I have read being 10mm.
I checked the front rotors and they are more worn (as expected) than the rear, but these were not called out.
If anyone has any comments/feedback please leave a post
Cheers
