I like to be in hibernation as much as I can but this offer did wake me up and some few parts will be coming in too , tiguan front strut bar and a boost gauge

If you like that seller do few other ABT parts for Tig including wheel arch extensions and ABT rear spoilers.

Seller looks OK - negative feedback is because they don't seem to hold all the parts in stock that they're selling... unfortunately the way it is with quite a few sellers.

Strut bar and boost gauge both cost under 300. ABT spoiler is cost under 300 as well.

Found a low cost EBAY deal for Tiguan ABT muffler and rear skirt from a guy in US. If any one interested there is another one for sale.

Looking at it again I'm not sure you can just put on the ABT rear bar. By looks of things the rear bar and wheel arches are designed to fit together so unfortunately if you go down this path I think you'll need the whole kit

I hope it's not the case Ramee, however I suspect you'll have to get all the other body kit parts if you want to put the rear bumper on.

It is not the whole rear bumper, only the rear skirt, so I hope it will fit to my existing bumper.. Anyways we will see when I have it.. until then back to hibernation...

Yes, I had a bit of trouble with the US Ebay seller because he changed the shipping cost to 400 USD after I bought the muffler & rear skirt. Anyway after few PMs back and forth we settled for a revised shipping cost which is 300 USD and that is through TNT courier not through FedEx like he advertised in Ebay.

Problem with shipping because package is too big, he said it is about 72x14x24 inch, 24 lb and most courier services charge arm and a leg for that size package.

He is supposed to ship it tomorrow and I will let you guys know how it goes.

I think what I am getting is actually a half of the rear bumper, to be precise it the whole black unpainted plastic section of the bumper. So how to split the existing bumper in to two and put the ABT bumper section in is a matter I have to think/research about.

Ramee have you though about buying a new R-line and swapping all the parts across and selling your "old" 155?

Not a good idea!, But I have thought about it before but it is not very economical. R line 155 Tiguan will cost around 50k with all the options I have (leather, sunroof, Xenons ,etc etc). Then you have to add mod costs too (a new K04 tune, labor to transfer all the part across(turbo, suspension, exhaust etc ) will add up to around 55k.

My car have so far done 30k km and trade in value or private selling value will be around 30k Max. So If I swap the car I will loose about 25K plus new car warranty (I don't want to take the risk twice). I rather rebuild my engine with upgraded internals to create a real monster than trying to get body kit and a steering wheel

I am getting most parts of R line body kit has, arch extensions, rear bumper etc etc plus R line tiguan does not come with a quad exhaust

Fair enough. Though the new MY15 Tigs are going to come fully loaded with options so about the only thing you can spec on a 155 is sunroof and paint.

But yes you'll drop a lot of $ in the change-over so probably not worth it as you say (may as well spend the $ on a Stage 3 kit ).

I've considered it myself, however come up with the same equation. It's the same motor/drivetrain so the only thing I'm getting is the body kit and a reset on the odometer. Hard to justify with the $ you're going to drop on it.

Now a MQB platform with bigger boot/back seat, gen 3 EA888 motor is a different story... but they're still saying that it'll be another 2 years

Look like my quad exhaust dream is bit far away. Seller cancel the transaction and refunded the money saying, TNT courier service refused to take the package because package is just too big

Bugger, sorry to hear it as they do look the goods - might have to look into getting muffler with quad outlets fabricated?!
