Kit is acquamist HFS4 and I think it is best kit for our cars. Here is a good thread about install to a GTI. I think for Tig it is almost same.

Tiguan rear skid plate - fail !

Got this few days ago from eBay.. but it's fit and finish is a big fail. It will not line up with the bumper correctly and edges are hanging out from the bumper. Can not recommend this at all !



Thought I could cut other side too so I can use this as a quad exhaust valance for Tig. but this one is a fail !

Sorry to hear that you imported a piece of scrap metal

I've found buying bits made in China a bit hit and miss. The Tiguans over there are a kind of hybrid between 2008-2011 and facelift 2012+ models using some of the styling cues from the 2012+ (i.e. grille) but headlights from the early version. Foglights don't match either model here and they have a longer wheelbase than the rest of the world.

I'm not sure where you saw this advertised, however if it was off ebay Australia you'd probably have some recourse but if it was off an overseas site it's going to be a lot more difficult.

Yeah .. I got it from ebay US site and I don't want to ship it back as shipping cost is a killer. I should have learn a lesson from your chrome window trim attempt

I've had 2 fails. The chrome window trims and chrome fog light surrounds. You would have thought I'd have learnt after the first failed attempt

Managed to get a Whiteline rear sway bar for Tig. It is a 24mm and damn, it is heavy! Now I have something to do on the weekend

Hehe..Yep I think I need to sell this and the spare wheel too Or I may need to add more power to compensate for it

Got a S3 Intercooler for Tig from a forum member Suffolk. He is a great guy has a very nicely moded black colour Tig. I think he is one of the very first guys got a stage 2 Tig in Aus





I heard S3 intercooler is perfect upgrade for Stage 2 power( which is designed for similar level of power) but may not be very good for K04 level of power. My plan is to run water meth or a twin intercooler when time comes to upgrade. But this will help me to go through winter till next summer.

I am planning to install it in DIY way tomorrow but heard it is going to be hard...

I've been promised an S3 intercooler so will be interested to hear how you go with the change-out. I'm not planning on going anything more than stage 2 so I think the S3 will be a good upgrade (though I know there are better intercoolers out there).

If it's a massive job I may have second thoughts and wait until I can afford the "real deal"
