I have a car with heated and vented leather seats. The ventilation makes leather tolerable in summer (strange sensation like dencorub !) but a nice cloth is better. If you have messy kids, being able to wipe down the seats is a good idea but apart from that, I would never select leather and exclude cars that aren't available without it... Wearing shorts (and my partner tells me short skirts) is no fun when you get burning hot seats.

just dont jump in straight away if the car left under the sun for a few hours. All the Euro cars i had with leather which to complete the package. Compare the heat with leather, i more concern the stain on cloth trim....

Before getting the Tiguan, was thinking to get the KIA/Hyundai highest spec with heat and cooler seat...etc. should be vy nice for summer.

finally, i got a fairly good price on my tig with sunroof and leather... but scarify the cooler seat, in return better build quality and brand.

I had the new cab out today for Boris' picnic day with the top down for a few hours, jumped in without any problems. Mind you I was wearing jeans, but I did have a good fell around and it all seemed fine.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
