You should try VW Glen Waverly in Melbourne, they seem to be the most helpful:

So my GTI is booked in for the 22nd of September.

The tech I had was very interested as to how I knew about the fix, I informed him about the 70 page thread right here and told him there were many others exactly the same online. He was kind of surprised. He also wanted to know why I was asked to come down for a test drive when it's already a known issue? Seems interesting...

Apprently Berwick VW have also fixed the issue on a number of vehicles.

South Yarra have not been sorting out the problem for customers.

        Thank you, team_v.

I am close to Glen Waverley, far from Berwick.
        I am with Bayside Moorabbin.

        Something interesting just happened.
Got a call from service department related to something else but I ended up having few words expressing how I am still not in the clear about the whole rattling issue.
This person will look into the TSB 21-11-03/rattling issue and will get back to me tomorrow.
So, I will wait and see.
All fails with my dealership then will make a call to Glen Waverley.
One clear answer/solution as to why or how then I will be happy.

        To wonder!!!

Well that is a nice change.

Apparently Glen Waverly are very good, they know about the issue so much that you only need to call for them to book you in for the fix, rather than taking it in to the dealership for a "listen"

Interesting thread to me as i am also experiencing B-pillar rattle & wastegate rattle... I bought my car from Berwick & they told me they had never heard of another issue with a B-pillar rattle, although they were good to deal with when purchasing.
Am going to go with Camberwell, as they are close to work, & have been good to talk to re: parts & accessories.
            Good luck, vundabar!

Got a call from the service department this morning.
              Same old yada-yada...

'We did have campaign but your vehicle is not within those that needs the fix nor under any suspicion but please bring it in if the sounds doesn't go away or gets worse.'

My Tiguan only done 500km on the odometer and rattling isn't always there.
They say it will subside once it's driven bit more or when it gets worse they will do something.

I am still not happy with this approach.
Lets see if it gets worse while I am driving my NEW CAR with this niggling rattle.
It should be fixed, pull stop. Not these half witted sugar and spice 'don't worry it will go away or else...'
Worst service ethic, I've came across with servicing of cars.

Followed nearly 100 pages of the above mentioned thread.

Seems, there were lots of speculations, promises and wait but not many clear case of fixed case.
I will drive around for now and see.

VW should come clean with this issue and do something about it.
I don't believe that consumer need to be subjected to this sort of gruelling regiment just to fix a piddly rattle but annoying at most.
VW got it horribly wrong with this issue.

Stomp my foot and throwing up some more green goo...

I would contact Glen Waverly and see what htey can do for you then since your dealership don't seem to be playing ball.

Our Tig has also the rattle from the B-pillar, but I'm not concerned about it, there are much worst things in the world than bit of rattling plastic in the car.

I always get the better result when complaining calmly without the emotions. After all it's not the dealer’s fault that there is something wrong in your car. I'm sure that they would help you, if they could, because they'd get paid for it.

Hahaha... I must have sounded so whiny and irrational on my past posts. (blushing big time)

No, I never let go my cool dealing with people. ( I been in the service industry way too many years )

So, sorry if I came across that way.

Back to chirpy and happy myself, I will be driving this car as much as I can for the time being and try my best to enjoy.
I will still keep my ears on the rattle and keep my eyes on the forum for further change but for now I just want to get a move on with this rattling.

I have noticed past few days how different this car response in my driving habit compare to my other cars that I drive. So, there must be much to learn and get use to.

                    Once again, thank you all.
This forum is so full of helpful happy people that I really enjoy coming here.

You could always remove your muffler so you don't hear any of the rattles
