    Upgrades to be done

    Hey Everyone,

    Tiguan155Rline - Pepper Grey, MY15, 155TSI R line 4Motion, full black leather Tow bar, Blackwater Central Queensland

    40,000 had the car just over a month and really happy with it.

    First on the list of mods are the bi xenon AFS headlights and led tail lights.

    Then APR air box and Turbo back Exhaust and tune

      Hi, after previously being a Polo fanatic and then moving onto an S3, I've ended up back in VW land, this time with a Tiguan TS.

      TBH, I didn't see it coming. It wasn't on the short list (wanted something smaller and faster again), but at this point in time it fits the bill.

      Enjoying the toy, a few little limitations to work through.

        Hi there, new (to me) Tiguan MY16 155TSI (boring white) owner here! Took a bit of a gamble on a dealer used car where with no books (including service history!), but it was a really good price, and only 61k on the clock.

        Getting a FULL service done (for my peace of mind - I found the previous garage and they told me that it just had a basic service done, and at 60k that's not good enough for me).

        Loving the car so far! Drives perfectly - I'd struggle to know it's a used car. Very happy.

        However, no manual means I have a couple of questions, which is why I'm here

                QUOTE=Perthdisco;1312028]Hello
                Just got second car and first car for daughter a great condition Tiguan 2010.

                151,000km

                Has been well serviced and is in excellent cosmetic condition.

                Roof lining falling off will need doing soon.

                Will probably do DIY oil changes from now on.

                Thinking of DIY doing coolant change and power steering fluid. Are there forum DIY guides?

                Keen to learn from others on two main issues;

                Changing 6 speed auto non-DSG fluid is this recommended since it’s a not scheduled service?

                Timing chain. How paranoid about getting it changed should I be? How likely is it the tensioner would have been replaced given early year faults and part updates?

                Recommended online parts suppliers. My other car is a Land Rover so there is excellent parts suppliers in Australia and UK I’d like to find VW equivalent.

                Thank you
                Richard

                            HI, I've a 2009 Tiguan TSI with leather seats and comfort pack, bought it last year from a guy who had it from new (188ks). Since then fitted Grey 18 by 8 ET45 Team Dynamics wheels with Michelin Pilot sport 4's; Audi S3 front brakes; Stage 2 Racing-Line tune (201kw and 405Nm) with CTS 3inch down pipe and middle muffler delete;rear sway bar (25mm) and front strut brace. My mechanic tells me the 6 speed auto won't handle any more power and torque than this tune. So that's it for power upgrades, as I've heard swapping the auto for a DSG box is a very complicated and expensive undertaking.

                              Takes the fleet up to 6 VW's and my wife's first one.
