i hope so . but the main wire is hand made by me. haha
That is what i was getting at.
If you could make up a few sets so they can be shipped to other people then used as a plug and play wiring kit for the sensors i am sure they would sell.
Hey guys, new Tiggy owner here. I haven't used the Park Assist much on mine but I did try it out the other day only to find the car nearly colliding with another car in the front left. I was watching the front sensors and listening to the beeping when it became too close for comfort.
I guess my question is... has your park assist missed a beat when parking between two "normal" cars (not motorcycles or pick-ups with beds, etc.)?
P.S. It was a brand spanking new tiggy (2 days old) that was still sparkly clean. (... not anymore. )

EVERYBODY thinks it's going to close with the front left corner (when parking on the left side of the road) BUT you do get used to it. If you actually have somebody watch it (I did) it doesn't go as close as you think and I've never heard of it hitting anything in the 3 years (and 4 international forums) I've had my Tig.
Cheers

Sorry for the very late reply. I went on vacation.
The parking sensors gave a continous tone already. Admittedly, I didn't go down to see what the distance to the vehicle in front was. I was pretty sure it would hit though.
Anyway, I'll keep an eye out if it happens again and report back.
We had to get Park Assist on my wife's Tiguan to avoid a lengthy wait for our configuration. The dealer only charged us an extra $400 for it, so it was good value.
I must admit it is a nifty feature...but in all honestly after showing your friends etc I tend to think it is a bit gimmicky. When you have plenty of time to watch the dash and then park it is great.....but when you're on busy road with lots of traffic behind it seems to take forever as people impatiently wait behind you.
I think since we have had the car 18 months we have used probably 2 or 3 times realistically.... but have shown it to friends who ask to see it about 20 times. Also having to slow to a certain speed to check if a space is suitable also annoys other drivers.
My opinion is if you can reverse park and have good judgement then I'd spend the $1400 on other options...but hey everyone has their own opinion.
