Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Fellas, this is the online store and brand (Blesk) I'd recommend to you.
Specifically:
Error free 37mm festoon (in pure white 5000K)
Application: Licence plates; rear passenger bulbs (if want max. brightness).
Note 1: It also appears that front passenger bulbs are festoon on Tigs with no sunroof.
Note 2: Pricing is for 1 festoon only. You need a pair for most applications.
Error free T10 bulbs (in pure white 5000K)
Application: park lights.
Note: Pricing is for a pair.
As mentioned, for other interiors bulbs you don't need to go for error free.
Finally, it would be remiss of me not to remind those upgrading their park lights to LED, to also upgrade your D1S HIDs to 5000K to colour match.

For interior map light, I recommend a big kahuna (T10 bulb) like this that gives you almost 360 degree projection.

Don't need anything too fancy or any longer than Johnny Holmes (in case you can't put the plastic glass cover back on)!
Also, most of these cheap ones provide free shipping (if from Hong Kong). So no Group Buy needed.MY11 Tiguan 147TSI (SOLD)

DAMN YOU JOHN!
I eagerly raced home today in the hope of finding my bulbs but they haven't arrived yet.
This week for sure so hopefully i will have a slew of pre/post install photos.

Just in case you have same problem team_v, I had to build up the tiny wire coming out of the wedge bulbs because they would not make contact in the plastic holders of the roof map lights. Even bending them out didn't work, but a drop of solder got it sorted. The footwell ones were fine though.

5000K are the closest thing to "pure white".
6000K are like 5000K in terms of whiteness, but with slight blue tinge to it.
Anyhow, these bulbs are sold now.MY11 Tiguan 147TSI (SOLD)

Originally posted by clip View Postthanks aussie, the interior ones I put in must then be 6000 because they have a distinctly blue tinge to them - matches the blue footwell ones very nicely, which in turn matches the blue dash and climate temp guages
Also the higher the Kelvins, the lower the actual output (not to be confused with brightness).
Quite frankly, I would recommend 5000K as the best balance between colour & output.
Unfortunately only came to this conclusion after purchasing 6000K HID (D1S) and had to subsequently colour match all the other exterior LED bulbs to that.MY11 Tiguan 147TSI (SOLD)

I was leaving the bottle shop tonight (hoping to find some $28 cartons!) and looked at the reflection of lights in the window of the shop as I pulled in, the yellow front parkers looked really bad so going to replace them, and the rear number plate if it works.

Yes ... Like I said, have replaced all my bulbs inside & out for LEDs except brakes, reverse & fogs.
Unfortunately, they work but still can throw up errors.
Don't know why, but never had this problem with Blesks on my Mk5 Golf GTI.
Somehow you can't trick the Tig! And I've tried every brand.
In fact, I have a spare set of park LEDs. PM if you want them at cost.MY11 Tiguan 147TSI (SOLD)
